Sep 10, 2016 Back - light problem. I have replaced the main board and the controller board,T-con, but no luck. Colors muted and brightness way too high. Can't think of a thing that's bad to say about them. Surf the site with patience.

An electrical power issue could also cause a picture not to appear. I've tried all of the steps outlined on the Troubleshooting page to no avail. If it does the default parental code is 0 0 0 0. . Purchased 2 yrs 1 month ago. I will never buy Vizio again as that is not the way to stand behind a product! They must have realized that too many people were complaining. After doing a complete factory reset I was then met with the necessary questions and proper set up, I did this and Netflix sign on screen came on immediately. After dealing with this for the past year or more and sifting through countless threads I believe I have finally found a permanent fix. The repairman is going to come this way in the next week or so and I'll update you on what he says.
And while it's great, there are black outs periodically. The issues are entirely related to the Xbox One S - and while the logical conclusion would be that its the problem - I'm not so sure. If I restart the Xbox and just play a game, I'm able to play for a few hours without any issue. Both brands are sold at Wal-Mart stores and both produce plenty of complaints. My screen was black but I could hear the sound. Checked cables box etc put another tv in and all worked with diff tv. After a 5 minute call to their customer service they arranged the repair order.
